When guests visit Jules’ Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida, they discover that the name is no marketing gimmick. Just to enter the lodging facilities, you must actually scuba dive 21 feet under the water's surface.The lodge really is under the sea. Visitors can dive and swim through the tropical mangrove habitat of the Emerald Lagoon and the surrounding area. This is one of those truly once in a lifetime type of vacations.
You come and go through an opening in the bottom of the habitat. The entire structure of Jules’ Undersea Lodge is underwater. The structure sits up on legs that are approximately five feet off the bottom sea floor. The living facility is a fully liveable space that has the amenities you would need to enjoy your stay. The living area also maintains proper levels of compressed air to ensure that you breath well, and also keeping the sea water out. As divers come and go, they will utilize the wet room for storing gear and prepping for the dive.
Typically, the Jules’ Undersea Lodge hotel is shared by two couples at a time. It can fit a couple more for those who do not mind being a little cramped for space. Exclusive use of the hotel can also be arranged for couples who want the space for themselves.
• Each of the two 8'x10' bedrooms has amenities to ensure a comfortable experience. A window for viewing the underwater is in each bedroom.
• There is also an 8’ x20’ “Common Room”, that contains a small kitchen, dining, and entertainment are. The dining area has custom made mermaid & merman tables.
