Park Activities:
CAMPING: 47 full-facility sites for both tent and RV campers are available. Restrooms and hot showers are easily accessible. Call 1-800-326-3521.
FISHING: Fishing is allowed only in designated areas in accordance with Florida law. Saltwater fishing licenses are required. Spearfishing and collecting of tropical fish is prohibited inside the park.
SWIMMING: Three areas are designated for swimming, including Canon Beach, which features remnants of an early Spanish shipwreck 100 feet offshore.
PICNICKING: Designated areas are located throughout the park. Barbeque grills are provided. No ground fires are permitted. To rent a pavillion, call 1-305-451-1202.
The Visitor Center features a 30,000 gallon saltwater aquarium and other natural history exhibits interpreting the park's unique marine environment. There is also a theater where visitors may watch nature videos. Hours are from 8am to 5pm daily.
All visitors are required to pay an entrance fee. One person -- $3.50, two people -- $6.00, and $0.50 for each additional person, pedestrians and bicyclists -- $1.50 per person. Once inside the park, visitors have access to all park buildings, beaches, etc. Your receipt is good for re-entry into the park during the same day.

The reefs are located between 3 and 8 miles offshore off the coast of the Florida Keys. Snorkeling tours will typically go to one of the inner reefs. These areas are protected and are shallow; average depth ranges from 5 to 15 feet. The glass bottom boat tour takes you to Molasses Reef which is further offshore, about 6.5 miles; average depth is about 10 to 30 feet. Scuba Tour Depths range from 30 to 45 feet.
